How to: Adjusting the time using KDE

Overview

This document describes how to change the time in KDE.


What you will need:

  • Your root password
  • the correct date and time


Steps involved in changing the time

  1. Place the mouse cursor over the clock on the bottom right hand side, and then click the right mouse button
  2. Select  'Adjust Date & Time' by left clicking with the mouse
  3. When prompted for your root passsword, enter it and click OK
  4. Adjust the time by clicking up or down beside the hour and minute. You can adjust the date by simply clicking on the correct date
  5. Click apply and then press OK
  6. The screen may flicker for a minute while the time updates.
