Printer Stops Working

Printers can stop working for a number of reasons:

  • not turned on
  • out of paper
  • cables are not plugged in the correct way
  • out of ink

To start the printer, open the Control Centre by clicking the K Menu >K Control Center. When the Control Centre opens, click on Peripherals and then Printers.

If the printer is stopped it will have a cross over it and will need to be started again.
To start the printer, open the Control Centre by clicking the K Menu >K Control Center. When the Control Centre opens, click on Peripherals and then Printers.

In the right pane, right click the printer name, and select Start Printer. If this does not work, click the System Administration button, supply the root password, and try again.

If the ink is out, buy a replacement cartridge or ink refill.
