How to: Disabling Auto-login
To disable auto-login, follow these steps:
- Launch Control Center (K Menu > Control Center)
- Click on the System Administration drop down button in the left pane of Control Center
- Click on Login Manager from the drop down menu
- Click on the Convenience tab in the right pane
- Click on the Administrator Mode button on the bottom left of the right pane
- Supply the root password
- Uncheck the Enable auto-login button
- Click on the Apply button on the bottom right of the window
- Close Control Center
Next time you start the computer (or login as a different user), instead of automatically loading the desktop, a login box (similar to the one on page 6 of this guide) will appear and users will be prompted to login with their username and password.
