Internet Service Provider Plans

To connect the Internet with your Computerbank Linux computer you will need a fixed telephone line and an (external modem, available at Computerbank for $25).   The internal modems and set up disks supplied by internet service providers do not work with Linux.  See also setting up the internet with a computerbank computer.

The cheapest way to connect to the internet is a dial up connection.  Broadband is faster but is also more expensive.

Caution: Most of the cheap dial up and broadband plans are NOT unlimited internet access.  This means if you go over your monthly allocation, extra fees are added (in some instances this can add up to over $100 per month). Check carefully before choosing an internet connection plan.  To help you we have listed unlimited internet access plans.
