Author: Kylie Davies

Overview

This document describes how to enable the CUPS printing system.  Computerbank ships systems with CUPS disabled by default.

How to Enable Cups

You will need to be the root user to enable CUPS, so ensure you have the root password handy.
In a konsole/or terminal window, type su to become the super user and then enter the root password.  At the hash prompt (#) type:

mv /etc/rc2.d/xS20cupsys /etc/rc2.d/S20cupsys

once this is done type:

/etc/init.d/cupsys restart
