Elaine's Computer

Elaine's Computerbank computer stopped working so she brought it back to us.  We checked her computer and discovered the power supply had failed.  Elaine got her computer from Computerbank in March 2002 and had paid $10. The recycled computer was a Pentium 1, 133Mhz with 32Mb Ram. Elaine had brought with her the original receipt and Training Guide.

Elaine's recycled computer had been working for 6 years.  Apart from a family member replacing the monitor when it failed, the computer has always worked.  The computer was used for documents and games and was not connected to the Internet.  Elaine's grandchildren love playing Linux games when they visited her.  Elaine's favorite game is Shisen-sho, (a Mahjongg like tile game) she says it keeps her brain active.

Although we could have fixed the computer for $22 we suggested Elaine would be better off with one of our $15 computers, a Pentium 3, 700 mHz 256 MbRAM. We assured her the new computer has Shisen-sho.  We wish Elaine well.
