Annual General Meeting 2007

Date: Saturday, October 27^th 2007 at 5.50pm

Members in attendance: Kylie Davies, Rob Brittain, Jan Smith, Allan Cooke, Cloud of Unknowing (herein after referred to as Cloud), Barry Klein, David Paraskevakis and Tony Calenti.

1. Welcomes

Kylie Davies declared the meeting open at 5.50pm (AEST)

2.Confirmation of the minutes of the 2006 AGM

Rob Brittain motioned that the minutes of the 2006 AGM be accepted. Jan Smith seconded the motion. CWD. 

3.Reports

3.1 Presidents report

Kylie Davies presented a brief synopsis of the years highlights which were:

a). 478 Computer systems have been distributed up to date. This represents 114 systems more than this time last year.

b). The shop model that was introduced to distribute computer systems has been a great success.

c). Work for the Dole projects are smaller in size but continue to rollover.

d). The Computerbank Distribution was good but new bugs have it made it less stable and less reliable. This has meant that we needed to introduce a better Distro and we are looking at a CBV modified Ubuntu system.

3.2 Treasurer/Auditors report

A provisional financial report was presented. Jan Smith moved that the provisional financial report pending audit be accepted. Tony Calenti seconded the motion. Carried without dissent.

4.Appointment of auditor for 2006

Pending acceptance of appointment Frank Copeland will be the CVI auditor for 2007.

5.Election of Office Bearers and Committee Members

The current committee stood down and the elections took place. Nominations, seconders and acceptances were made from the floor. All committee members were elected and appointed unopposed. The nominations and appointments were thus:

Kylie Davies – President – nominated by Jan Smith and seconded by Allan Cooke.

Jan Smith – Vice President – nominated by Kylie Davies and seconded by Tony Calenti.

Allan Cooke – Treasurer – nominated by Rob Brittain and seconded by Jan Smith.

Tony Calenti – Secretary – nominated by Kylie Davies and seconded by Cloud.

Rob Brittain – Ordinary Member – nominated by Kylie Davies and seconded by Jan Smith.

Cloud – Ordinary member – nominated by Kylie Davies and seconded by Tony Calenti.

Barry Klein – Ordinary member -- Kylie Davies and seconded by Allan Cooke.

6.Welcome new committee

All members were congratulated on their election to the new committee for 2007.
