WFD roll over

_Computers Out_

A big couple of months, September gave us another record. We managed to
build 33 computers in one week during WFD!

August: 32 + 3 shop sales + ? ebay sales

In August we gave computers to the Western English Language School,
Pirateship (computers sent to Cambodia) and to Lingarra in the remote
outback of NT.

September: 63 + 1 shop sale and 14 loaner computers + ? ebay sales

In September we sent 22 computers to Uganda for an orphanage as well as
some more computers to another site in Darebin. We also sent a second
laptop to Lingarra and another to East Timor.

Year to Date: 318 + 32 shop computers + 14 loaners + ebay sales = 364 +
ebay sales

_Waiting List_

There are around 7 people and 1 group waiting for a computer. The
average wait for a computer is 2 weeks. 19 people are booked into
training or are scheduled to pick up their computers. 15 applications
require some kind of follow up or are missing information.

_Donations_

We received only one major donation this time around. TransUrban gave
us some more computers and monitors. We received a lot of e-waste too.
We also have a couple of larger donations on our radar.

Many other good quality donations were received from individuals.

_Projects_

Projects currently active include:

      * CBV Distro (main build)
      * CBV Lean (light build)
      * Database Project
      * CD Project
      * Laptop Project
      * Little Brother Project

It'd be great if folk working on these projects, could write a summary
of where things are at (if they have not done so already).

_WFD Project_

The WFD project is running well and higher numbers of participants are
attending. We have 21/15 people on the project and see anywhere from
10-13 people attending on any one day. I am currently working to get
our
funding levels increased back to a minimum of 20 participants.

WFD participants have been busy helping with software builds, sorting
laptops, recycling, data entry, testing printers, modems and other
devices and items.

_New Volunteers_

A few new volunteers have joined us since my last monthly report. Big
welcome and thanks to Alice, Elaine, Rohan, and Brad.

Alice has been helping with documentation and Elaine has been helping
with bookkeeping. Rohan is helping with general technical stuff
including the Little Brother project and Brad will be helping with
front
desk.
