Guidelines for Groups Meeting at CBV
Author: Kylie Davies Date: 7th March 2005
Overview
This document details guidelines for other groups meeting at Computerbank. These serve to inform both parties of their obligations and responsibilities as they relate to providing and using Computerbank meeting space.
The current base rate for groups meeting at Computerbank is $25 per 3 hours (no internet) or $30 per 3 hours (ADSL internet and access to the training room)
Computerbank will:
- Provide a meeting space that is free from the distraction of Computerbank work (unless otherwise negotiated)
- Provide a safe meeting space that has adequate facilities to seat up to 20 people
- Provide toilet facilities and supplies (male and female)
- Provide power for computers used in presentations
- Provide cups, spoons, and other utensils as required (ie plates)
Optional:
Groups meeting at Computerbank will:
- Adhere to general safety procedures and be aware of emergency procedures
- Adhere to Computerbank policies around consuming food and drinks in particular areas of the building
- Respect Computerbank property and relationships with business neighbours
- Sign the guest register (either collectively as a group, or individually)
- Put all cigarette butts in the bin or tin container provided (it's actually a huge fine for butt littering!)
- Keep out of the warehouse, workroom, training and surplus store areas of Computerbank unless otherwise authorised or accompanied by a Computerbank committee member/coordinator
- Clean up all dishes and any mess made in the kitchen
- Empty food type rubbish into the green wheelie bins out front (rather than leave overnight to go smelly)
- Return the meeting area to the state it was found
- Turn off any monitors (completely off), TV's, transformers, or other appliances that were used while conducting a meeting
- Turn lights off at master switch (training room meter box, switch is labeled)
- Securely lock both doors upon leaving
