Websites Report March 2008

It is really nice to have someone to work with on the
website upgrades after doing them solo for a number of years. Thanks
Barry.
Domain Name
For the past few years the domain computerbank.org.au has been pointing to a one page site hosted by Linux Australia. In the last few weeks this page has not been viewable. Kylie and I decided to point this domain to our Plone site. We are not affiliated with any other Computerbank or organisation, we own the domain name so decided it was time to point this domain to our main site. Many thanks to Linux Australia for hosting this page for us in the past.
Plone Website
- No issues reported.
- Updates made to the following pages: front page, links, wiki, news and shop.
- We are starting tests to upgrade to Plone 2.5.5.
- Current hosted version has the following files:
version of Plone 2.5.2
version of CMF 1.6.2.
version of Zope 2.9.7 final
version of Python 2.4.4.
version of P.I.L. 1.1.6
version of ZphotoSlide
version of Zwiki 0.58
version of MimetypesRegistry 1.4.1. final - Off site upgrade tests carried out by Jan had a TransformException
- 2 mime type error messages. Adding the missing mime types did not
fix the error. Possibly missing mime types need to be added to Plone
2.5.2 before exporting content. However when Barry carried out a test
upgrade he didn't get this problem - unfortunately that setup is
erased. Following this we decided it best to have dedicated testing
drives so we have something to refer back to.
- Barry set up a test drive with Plone 2.5.5. and has it working however with the old version of the MimetypesRegistry.
- The configuration of Plone we are aiming to move to is:
version of Plone 2.5.5
version of CMF 1.6.4.
version of Zope 2.9.8 final
version of Python 2,4,4,
version of P.I.L. 1.1.6.
version of ZphotoSlide
version of Zwiki .059
version of MimetypesRegistry 1.5
Silva website
Computerbank's document repository
-
No issues reported.
- Web updates to the meetings folder
- New Forms and Flyers added to the site. We are in the process of
having all our current day to day forms moved here so we can access
them remotely. Not all forms on the site are able to be accessed
publicly because we tend to get applications from around the world
which is time wasting for all parties.
- Barry is also setting up a dedicated test hard drive to upgrade Silva.
