Websites Report April 2008
Domain Name
Changed the delegation of computerbank.org.au to High
Speed Rails and updated the Virtual Host Monster on HSR. The domain
name doc.vic.computerbank.org.au took several days to resolve. We
linked to the site using its server addrerss for that time.
Up
until this action computerbank.org.au was going to a one page site
forwarding people onto vic.computerbank.org.au This is a hangover from
the time when there were several organisations under the Computerbank
umbrella. computerbank.org.au now points directly to our Plone site.
I have left the vic.computerbank.org.au pointing to Plone as well. The
doc site is unchanged at vic.doc.computerbank.org.au
Reassigned email addresses for committee members. Let me know if you need an email address.
To do: resolve the spf records question from HSR.
Plone Site
Upgrade notes from Plone 2.5.2 to Plone 2.5.5
Upgrading completed on hosted server on 29th April.
The following tests were all carried out on a test server they were not carried out on the hosted space. Doing live upgrades with Plone is asking for trouble.
Importing Computerbank's 2.5.2 content into 2.5.3 failed with the following error.
"Error TransformException: Input MIME type 'text/x-web-markdown' for transform
markdown_to_html is not registered in the MIME types registry."
SOLUTION
Here are the full steps:
Do a fresh install of 2.5.2 on test server to upgrade each sites content (Three Plone sites on this Zope instance)
Upgrade the mimetypeRegistry on 2.5.2 the test machine with these additions.
Edit mime type Markdown.
Name : Markdown
Icon path : text.png
Binary?
Mime-types : text/x-web-markdown
Extensions : markdown
Globs
Edit mime type Textile.
Name : Textile
Icon path : text.png
Binary?
Mime-types : text/x-web-textile
Extensions : textile
Globs
Then:
1. Import our 2.5.2 content into the 2.5.2
instance on the test server with two new meme types added also needs
ZWiki 0.58 and ZPhoto Product 2.0 added. Check Kupu visual editor is
installed and activated.
2. Export this 2.5.2 content.
3. Import the .zexp content into a 2.5.3 instance also needs ZWiki 0.58 and ZPhoto 2.0 Product added. Check Kupu visual editor is installed and activated. The content should be viewable and editable.
4. Upgrade in the zmi the portal_atct from 1.1.4 final to 1.1.5 final.
5. Upgrade portal_migration.
6. Upgrade all the products listed for upgrade in the add/remove products section.
7. Test the content by adding content, editing content, adding a user, editing a user.
8. Export the upgraded Plone 2.5.3 content.
9. Import this amended 2.5.3 .zexp content to the test server with Plone 2.5.5. which is the latest stable release. Also needs ZWiki 0.59 and ZPhoto Product 2.0 added. Check Kupu visual editor is installed and activated.
10. Check to see if portal atct needs upgrading
11. Check to see if portal_migration need upgrading
12. Check to see if any products need upgrading in add/remove products
13. Upgrade the content and test it.
14. When this is working export it ready to upload to HSR.
15. Contact HSR and say the content is ready for upgrading
to 2.5.5. Also needs ZWiki 0.59 and ZPhoto Product 2.0 added. Check
Kupu visual editor is installed and activated.
16. Upload this updated content to HSR
17. Installation on HSR 29/4. The .zexp imported immediately and gave a successful import notice. Tests showed all working apart from the ZWiki .59. Noticed the ZWiki product was wrongly name ZWIKI. Renamed it to ZWiki, stopped and restarted Zope. ZWiki now working. Content seems to be ok too.
Wiki
In consultation with Kylie our wiki is now viewable by site members only.
Time Zone from US to AU update
Request to change the date layout from US year/day/month to AU day month year. This is now done.
However encountered the following problems changing from US time to AU time.
Using
one suggestion amended the /usr/zope/Instance1/bin/runzope to include a
TZ. This suggestion resulted in the correct AEST time for the general
Plone web views but still had the US time in the wiki and ZMI. I
thought this too confusing for people so removed that fix.
The
second suggestion was adding a product called ZAUTZ to
/usr/zope/Instance1/Products. After adding this product and stopping
and starting the server and Zope this product is in the root ZMI but it
does not appear as promised in to add/remove products section of our
site so am currently unable to use it. I have sent a question off to
the person who developed ZAUTZ.
Print CSS
Currently prints too large needs adjusting.
Silva Site
Barry conducted some tests importing our Silva content version 1.4.1b into the latest stable release Silva 2.0.6. This did not work. We may have to upgrade a major realise at a time, this means fives upgrades using steps similar to the Plone upgrade steps above OR at the extreme end put the content through all 27 minor upgrades. Our silva site is stable so further work will be carried out after our Plone is upgraded.

Weblogs
To do: notify Obsidian the Silva hosts that our weblogs are no longer working.
