Distro Report November 2005

We have run into some problems with KDE over the last few months of trying to get a new distro happening, I have tried using Kubuntu as a base and have had some mixed results, mainly revolving around Administration Mode in Control Center constantly disappearing, also we have had issues with kfloppy and some other parts of the KDE destop, though I have to admit I do like some of its features, Kylie and I have discussed changing to a Gnome Desktop, but thats still to be discussed

CBV Lean
The lean version of KDE we use for shop computer and low end machines we send down to places like CADDS, has been updated to the Debian Unstable version of KDE 3.4.2 and had some glitches in it fixed, we are still having issues however with KDE and Admin Mode, though this seems to mainly effect people wishing to change the time on their mac
