Minutes
Present: Tim Price, Sam Reid, Bill McPherson,
David Totterdell, Kylie Davies, Patricia Fraser. Apologies: Rodney
Brown, Daniel Morriss, Walter Villagonzalo, Tim O'Leary.
Kylie proposed that we accept the minutes from the previous meeting. Seconded Sam Reid, carried.
Kylie introduced David Totterdell to the meeting. David is qualified and willing to be CBV's Treasurer. Tim nominated David for the position of Treasurer; seconded Sam Reid, carried unanimously.
Kylie raised the subject of the Constitution as suggested by Clayton Utz according to our previous attempts and their legal advice. Enough days' notice was given for this meeting to consider and vote on its adoption.
Bill proposed that we accept the Constitution as presented, seconded Sam Reid, carried.
Peter proposed that we use the Constitution to incorporate; seconded Tim, carried.
Patricia will notify Clayton Utz re the result of the vote.
Kylie mentioned that we need to arrange another visit to the Filipino CLub, to complete the server. A time of Monday 26th July at 7pm was arranged.
Bill proposed that we accede to Michael Isaacson (Print Museum)'s request to be given a PC in exchange for the housing of CBV equipment on his premises. Seconded Tim, carried. Peter offered to set the PC up.
Bill arranged Concord Insurance policy No. 57A078941PLB for Volunteer Conver. A cover note is being issued, premium not yet paid. CBV to get copy of policy to inspect.
Clayton Utz have prepared a draft letter to the ATO re CBV tax ex status.
Next meeting last mondy of August, 7pm at V.I.C.
